Well, some news on the Northern front. I was laid off on June 12th, so I've been spending some quality time with Bailey and Milo. You know, it's funny, I don't even have kids yet and I cannot keep the floor clean. I vaccum and the next day I am amazed at the dust bunnies and fur clumps that are stuck to the rugs. *sigh*

I've been doing a lot of cleaning and baking with my time off, too. I gotta tell you, if Chris made enough, I would be so happy and content being a housewife. :) I don't think he'd complain; the house has never been cleaner, and coming home to the smell of cookies, bars, and pies in the oven makes everyone happy. I do plan on going back to school this fall, which I'm really excited about. I'm going to take an online course for medical transcription. I should be able to finish by May, so I'll be on my way to a new career by this time next year.

My favorite thing to do lately: watching the Evelyn show. Almost every night when Chris and I go to bed, the baby gets so active! We'll just lay there and watch my tummy as she does what feels like a Cirque du Soleil routine. She's only the size of an eggplant, so I can only imagine what it will be like in a couple months. We simply can't wait till October!!! We want to see our baby so badly. I'm hoping she looks like Chris, sans the body hair and stubble. ;)

It's been since January? Holy cow. Okay. Well, happy, happy news: I'm pregnant! In my 14th week this week. I get to go in tomorrow and have a fasting blood sugar test done, because my first screen came back elevated. Gestational diabetes would be such a pain! I don't want to keep track of my food, and poke my finger all the time...ugh. Oh well. Chris and I are heading down to Mom and Dad's tomorrow for Easter weekend. I love Easter!! Christmas and Easter are tied in my book. I love getting up early (truly. i do.) and going to Sunrise Service at church and smelling the pancakes and sausage, and coffee that starts to waft up from the basement. Then, of course, getting to eat it. :) I don't believe I've missed a Sunrise Service in all my 25 years. And I don't plan to! Luckily, Eastern Orthodox Easter (on my calendar, we have 'Western Easter' and 'Eastern Easter'. Tee-hee) is the week after Easter with my family, so we can still celebrate with Chris' family. Love the weather we're having--so much sun, I can hardly even stand it! Well, no, I can stand it quite well, actually. Melt that dang snow, grow that grass! Spring has been a long time coming! :) Until...next time...(June, maybe?;))

Well It's About Time

So my last blog was in...September? Yeah. Been a while. Surprisingly, not much has happened in my life since then. Christmas was awesome--the whole family was at my parents' house for a long weekend, and we had my sister's wedding reception the Saturday after. It was great. Chris decided to go back to school. He wants to be a draftsman, so I've looked up a bunch of info for him, and we're excited for him to start. We're trying to figure out a way I can work from home once we have kids. If anyone needs a dedicated worker to transcribe audio and video files, give me a call. Or if you have any ideas for work that can be done from home (short of starting my own business), fill me in!! I wanna be a stay at home mom in the worst way. Why aren't these things simple?? Gotta run, but I'll write more later. Hopefully not four months later.
